Unique side of SIQ Elite training!
Soccer IQ Academy has been providing possession-based training in CO, CA and WY since 2012. During the last three (3) years, coach Tolya has been living in San Diego, CA and coaching at youth Development Academy and professional club. SIQ operation in Denver Metro area were managed and led by coaches Azary and Yury, who became extremely successfuland popular at running individual or small group trainings from all local Clubs. During the summer of 2020 all three coaches got together and decided to organize a new type of training. The new thing about this training is not practices themselves - we still stick to our values of intelligent possession-based soccer - the new part is the approach to player development and understanding that there is a lot of things beyond training that are crucial to the proper development of the player. Coaches started the SIQ Elite program in August 2020, offering and inviting only players they had prior interaction. By November 2020 we had over two hundred players from more than 8 local clubs (ages 5 to 18) participating in the program. We still provide individual / small group trainings and have room to grow but not by much as we want to keep it very personal and unique. That is the Key! We appreciate your support, ready to improve and, therefore, happy to hear your ideas and feedback. Please let us know if we can help You or anyone else who might be interested.

Please take a look at the bullet points listed below highlighting the difference between SIQ Elite and any other Program:

1. SIQ Elite will deliver top level training focused on possession soccer ALL YEAR AROUND.
The program is not designed as short term (few weeks or months) camp but rather as an all-year-round long program al lowing coaches to follow and actively participate in each player's development. For this reason, we can't afford to have too many players in each age group - all coaches (Azary, Yury, Tolya, and Edward) want to coach each player at least part of each session. We want to know each player personally, so we can help his/her development. Additionally the SIQ Elite curriculum is not a random set of practices but rather a progression based on tactical periodization plan. Currently, coach Tolya works closely with top-level coach from Barcelona, Spain on refining the plan and incorporating it in SIQ Elite training.

2. SIQ Elite players have player/coach conferences once a month with the SIQ coach.
This goes along with the previous statement. We want to amplify player development and know that feedback from the coach is crucial in this process. We coached in youth club soccer for a long time and completely understand that it is extremely hard for the team coach to give enough attention to each player. We made a commitment that each SIQ Elite player (and / or parent) has an ongoing periodic interaction with the SIQ coach to discuss anything he/she wants from feedback on his/her training all the way to career advice. We want to help players at any stage of their development.

3. SIQ Elite coaches watch players in the games, not only training.
Giving feedback to player based on SIQ Elite training is definitely valuable but nothing exposes player's strengths and weaknesses as a real competitive game. This Fall SIQ Elite coaches attended more than 50 games in person in Colorado and watched about 20 games on video! This allows us to give better feedback to players and fix certain deficiencies during our training.

4. Soccer training is a fraction of what SIQ Elite offers to players!
As mentioned above, we want to provide a complete development package to SIQ Elite players. Once a month during SIQ Elite training session players work on their running technique with an extremely high-level coach from South Africa. This training is not what people do at a different speed and agility facilities as it focuses solely on improving running technique. Coach Mitchell claims that he can make players faster in 10min and according to our observations and feedback from players and parents he is not making it up!

5. Sport psychology is another area SIQ Elite players will work on all year round
Last week players had introductory video sessions with Dr. Tom Davis who specializes in teaching leadership and works with top-level athletes on sports psychology. Dr. Davis developed "The Heroic Mindset Program" and "The Athlete's Pyramid" to focus on what helps the most elite athletes and coaches in the world reach their highest potential – mindset. Sports psychology and Positive Psychology teaches that 90% of success in life comes from how your brain sees the world. This program is a holistic approach on how to create the kind of mindset and off-the-field practices that will help you or your player have a cutting-edge advantage above the competition and achieve your highest potential.

6. More to come soon.
The plan is to cover as many relevant areas as possible. We are working right now to set up sessions with a sports nutritionist, injury prevention and recovery specialist, and UEFA soccer agent!

7. Lastly, this is not Tolya's program - all 3 of us (Azary, Yury, and Tolya) contribute equally to this program.
We have different responsibilities but 3 of us co-own SIQ Elite program. We know each other for a pretty long time and we are not just partners but friends outside soccer so our collaboration is very natural and we all enjoy it tremendously. Rarely, people have an opportunity to work together with people they completely trust and respect so all 3 of us feel very fortunate in this respect. Please feel free to ask any of us any question!
